Nancy Taxeras is a woman of faith whose life has been deeply rooted in service, compassion, and a steadfast trust in God. With a career spanning over four decades in nursing—including work in the ICU, Emergency Department, surgery, and as a Flight Nurse—she has walked alongside countless individuals and families during some of life’s most critical and meaningful moments.
In addition to her medical career, Nancy proudly served as a Captain in the North Carolina Air National Guard, where she combined her skills in nursing with a calling to serve others under pressure and in times of need.
Throughout her life, faith has remained her foundation. Whether navigating personal challenges, seasons of loss, or new beginnings, she has continually found strength and peace in her relationship with Christ.
Now retired from nursing, Nancy continues to share her gifts through her Christian handbell ministry, performing across the country and bringing joy, comfort, and inspiration through music. She also expresses her creativity through photography, capturing the beauty of God’s creation in everyday moments.
Nancy lives in Amarillo, Texas, with her husband, where they enjoy a quiet life surrounded by nature and their beloved dachshunds. Through her writing, she hopes to encourage others to embrace life’s journey with faith, find joy in the present, and trust that God’s grace is present in every step.
